Review on Dorman 742-253 Power Window Motor: Compatible with Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Models for Enhanced Window Functionality by Jeff Jones

This is a good product and looks like a real power window, it should work fine. The motor worked again so I keep it as a backup on my Lincoln Town Car passenger window and didn't have time to swap it out.) I've swapped other power window motors and motor/adjusters on this car before. The price was about $20 less than local parts stores and shipping was fast. I'll have this motor installed before the weather gets bad (Southern Michigan), thing to watch out for. Installation consists of carefully disconnecting the motor from the ESC cable spool. When you pull out the cords, it might be a problem to wrap everything properly! There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to do this properly, I suggest watching one first before attempting this setup! I did this when replacing a liftgate window motor and it turned a 1 hour job into a 3 hour cord reel job! Yes! The motor-controller combination could be mounted better, but there are rivets!
