Review on 🔥 De'Longhi Ceramic Tower Heater - Quiet 1500W, Digital Thermostat, 3 Heat Settings, Timer, Remote Control, ECO Mode, Safety Features - 24-inch, Dark Gray (TCH7915ER) by Heather Genevish

Revainrating 3 out of 5

One question - why?

Has a terrible numeric meaningless interface. Pressing any key has a 3-5 second delay in performing that action (why?!). For example, if you press the "Fan" button once (why?), wait 3 seconds (why?), and then start the fan. Lots of nonsensical features like "ECO" are thrown in just for the sake of confusion. Terrible red LED on the front, bright enough for reading (stick it in the bedroom when you want to sleep) - same goes for the screen, why do I need a digital screen for this thing? There is no way to turn it off, I have to randomly press the buttons multiple times until it works, unlike any traditional heater which only has a physical power button. This unit also draws more power than other units of the same wattage that I know of, as this unit regularly turns off my surge protector (annoying, meaning I can't use it on one side of the house) compared to the other tower that I know Used. I tried it (Lasko 5160), there was no such problem, and even that is supposedly rated for 1500 watts too. My Lasko died (my fault) and the only reason I didn't buy another one is because it doesn't have Prime Shipping, but I regret buying this one instead.

Pros
  • Protects pipes from freezing: When temperatures drop below freezing, the heater automatically heats up in standby mode, ideal for preventing pipes from freezing in basements.
Cons
  • No power
