Absolutely beautiful topper. I originally bought the topper from a large chain store; This topper cost more and was thin. Broke before it was hung on our Christmas tree. My 3 year old specifically wanted a star topper. So, in a real last-minute shopping mood (laughs), I was here looking for toppers. It was something between that and their smaller 10 light version. We have a 7.5 foot artificial tree and this topper is AWESOME! Like the design. This is a rustic style gold topper. It has sequins (smaller circles instead of the traditional hand-cut square shape found everywhere). There are also smaller, branch-like "threads" that intertwine in the star.2. The lights. Warm white lights - they look more golden. 20 lamps are more than enough. Gives off a warm light and is not very bright in the light. It already radiates a warm, beautiful glow in the morning. Works well with warm white lights on your Christmas tree.3. shape/design. When you open the box for the first time, you will find that the garland cord inside the garland is white. While it may look garish when unlit, it blends in perfectly when lit - you won't be able to tell that the wires are white as the gold of the light and the star itself seem to cancel out the white light from the fairy lights. The cord connecting the star is reddish brown. It can be an eyesore if your tree is visible from 360 degrees - we don't, so I didn't care about the color. Also, there are no separate "front" and "back" sides, which is a bonus if your tree is visible from all angles.4. Strength. The tip doesn't feel heavy in your hands, but when you tried to balance it on our tree, it fell off immediately. I folded the two tallest branches and glued a cone shaped pad on top. I then bent the branches back and forth a bit to adjust/balance the tip. Worked fine.5. The size. We have a 7.5 foot tall artificial tree, this is a slightly fuller end. The size of the topper is perfect - it makes a great coordinating accent for the tree. If you have a shorter, slimmer tree I would recommend using a 10 bulb top. This one will likely dominate your tree and look massive on top. I am more than happy with this topper. My 3 year old son loves it. I think this will be a long lasting topper for our family.
