These are much heavier materials than the last sets of cutting mats we used and they always warp over time. If we were going to hang them for storage, I'd rather drill a small hole in the middle of one end or the other, big enough for the size of the hook I'm using to maximize the usable area of the rug. I was concerned about the texturing as some reviewers expressed concern that it traps bacteria and makes carpets difficult to clean. I don't know how they get clean, but just wiping them down with a soapy cloth makes them feel as light as a slick carpet. The texturing is not that deep. While this reduces the visibility of cuts on the mat, it would be unreasonable to expect cuts not to be visible at all. Not even much more expensive self-healing mats can do that. The only thing we're not particularly into are flowers. These are typical colors for cutting mats. But we'd like someone to make entire sets in one or two color options, one or the other more to match your room's decor. Black, gray or white are also subjectively preferable to different colors.
