I have been using these filters for several years now. These are very good filters, but there are two things to consider when purchasing: 1) The nominal sizes are smaller than the real ones. It may seem strange, but almost all furnace filters are measured this way. So whether you're buying from 3M or another company, you need to measure and test first. It's like wood dimensions. 2) Lifespan is no more than a year, and probably only if you live in a climate that doesn't put heavy use on the HVAC system, you don't have pets, you don't cook, and you only have 1 or 2 people. If you run this filter for too long with lots of people, cooking, pets and dust, the filter will become badly clogged which can damage your air conditioner or at least make it less efficient. I change the filter about every three months (three people, two dogs, non-smokers, hot summers and cold winters).
