Very easy to get started. Order your Fi SIM data only, order this device, insert a SIM card (micro adapter recommended), connect to a computer, activate Fi with a passcode, surf the web. I'm getting about 10Mbps down and 2Mbps down, which is about right for the Fi/T-Mobile I'm sitting on. The ping is also as expected, north of 50ms, so I won't try to do anything particularly time sensitive. Overall this is fine for my use case (internet on a pi box) and actually pretty decent internet on a deadlock. I can watch YouTube videos, I post this review with it and of course I can do most of the work. My only complaint is the price. I have a Netgear 4G device with an Ethernet out that costs about the same. It's larger with external power and would be better for a simpler internet case, but it's hard to see why this little one is $60 at the time of writing.
