I use it for video tricks with dogs. I want the remote control to have a different sound when turning it on and off. Sometimes I feel like I videotaped something only to find it didn't work. But it's nice to be able to use the remote control. I used to have another similar tripod but part of it fell off somewhere and I couldn't find it. So make sure you carefully screw things together before moving them. I lost the remote control and just wanted to buy a remote control, but couldn't find the need to buy a brand new tripod, but the price is low enough to make it reasonable.
