Nice stockings, unfortunately don't fit me

The stockings appear to be well made, and are a good, dark, neutral colour. Unfortunately, XL is both a bit too long (see the bunching in the last photo), and too tight for me. (I would probably need an XXL Short in an anti-embolism stocking.)I first attempted to put these on as one would a sock, just for kicks, and that was a no go. Then I put one on using the seller's instructions, and although it did go on, it was a struggle. Then I put a stocking on using the method I was taught for putting anti-embolism stockings on patients back when I was in nursing school, and it slid on fairly easily, despite it's being the wrong size.Nurse's method of putting them on: find the top of the heel (first photo), and fold the stocking down from the top of the heel all the way over the foot (second photo); grasp the stocking on both sides of the heel and slide it on over the foot, with your heel sitting comfortably in the heel of the stocking (if it's gotten twisted, start over now, as it will be almost impossible to get straightened out comfortably), then pull the stocking up to just below your knee. It should not be tight there, and the manufacturer has designed these well, with a comfy band there. Nor should there be an excess of length (the third photo), as that will slide down to the most narrow point, your ankle, causing constriction and swelling; and basically defeating the point of wearing them, which is to support your circulation to prevent blood clots from forming.
