Review on ๐Ÿš— Upgraded NEXAS Car Diagnostic with Protective Case | OBD2 Scanner Engine Reader Featuring Graphing Battery Test | Scan Tools for Check Engine Light Fault Code Reader with Freeze Frame Viewing | Enhanced Version by David Hansen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Yes it is an OBD2 scanner and yes I had some issues.

The great thing is that it came with a case - a nice touch. The case was semi-rigid with a zipper and tape to keep the scanner in one place while mobile. Why the low rating? No issues with user error, it just wasn't that great on the keyboard. For some reason I was pressing keys, be it arrow, enter, return or home, and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't - I had to press it multiple times. Another issue, the glossy finish, while looking great indoors, made it really difficult to read outdoors - not that big of a deal as I only tilted the device up or down a bit, but has that ultra glossy finish maybe something per se, at least around the LCD, a matte finish would be better. So it went backwards, sorry NEXAS and by the way if like me you went to their site first to check for updates/firmware etc nothing is available. Nothing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin
