Continental Size & Weight, Simple ElegenceThis flatware set has generous Continental/European-style size and weight, e.g. the SALAD fork is the size of a place-size/American-size flatware set's DINNER fork. EVERYTHING IS A BIT BIGGER and 1" longer except the teaspoon. My biggest complaint about this set was that the teaspoon was around 5.5" or less--shorter than most place-size/American-size flatware sets.The butter knife is almost perfect and beautiful. The forks are very sharp at the end. The dinner spoon is fairly large and you "feel” on the side of your mouth/lips.DESIGN: The design is simple elegance. It does have an "old" type look to it. It doesn't stand out much and is very plain and traditional. On the upside, the minimal design and pattern make it easy to clean.METAL: The metal quality and design are excellent and flawless. The 18/10 doesn’t make much of a difference. After one use and wash, the 18/10 Stainless doesn't look much different than a 18/0 set so 18/10 is not an important factor.OVERALL: I recommend it if you want something very traditional, classy but if you're used to place-size/American-size flatware, you won't like the Continental/European-style size.
