Despite the low price, this adapter works well in my system with Asus Prime B450M-A and Intel Intel SSD 660p. Although the motherboard has an M.2 slot, using it reduces the number of SATA connections by 2. Since I'm using a Ryzen 5 2400G IGP, it frees up a PCIe slot for use with this adapter. An added benefit of using this adapter is that it makes the M.2 more detachable and portable than screwing it to the motherboard. It's much easier for me to switch the boot disk to another operating system and remove it from unauthorized access in another safe place.
