Review on MIG 205 Welding Machine Gasless Voltage by Marvin Short

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good welder for the price

Just unpacked the welder, installed it on my welding cart and did a few test welds in stick mode at 120v, the unit arrived undamaged and works well, the packaging was a neat cardboard box with foam inserts. All included cords, ground, tip, and MIG torch have wires that are at least 10 feet long. The two drive wheel rollers were equipped with a 0.8 and 0.9 mm AV groove welder and a 0.9 and 1.0 mm toothed drive wheel. The only extra accessories that come with the welder are 3 MIG tips 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0mm, a gas hose and a fairly cheap plastic jackhammer. The body panel isn't heavy-duty, but for a light welder like this, it should do the trick. An oddity with this welder is that the permanently attached cord is a 120V cord, the 220V adapter plugs into the welder's standard 220V wall outlet, and the 120V cord on the welder plugs into a adapter when you use it in a shop with other people. Make sure you unplug the 220v adapter after each use as the outer end is just a standard 120v household plug and someone can easily plug a 120v item into 220v. A few test beads that I spent with a rod and rod 3/32 6013 went well. I will test the MIG when I get my gas tank and amend this rating if necessary. All in all good value for money performs as well as others I've used that cost twice as much. I would recommend this welder to my friends.

Cons
