Review on JVC HAF10C Earbud Headphones with Protective Carrying Case - Enhanced Audio Experience by Michelle Rogers

You get what you pay for.

Okay, I still didn't expect something that great from a pair of headphones that cost me less than $10. You get what you pay for, they're not bad, but they're not that good either. Here's why: The sound quality is rather weak, not just flat, but a bit tinny, rather weak in the treble and bass. The fit isn't ergonomic, it's just a regular round shape that's a bit too big. So if you have small ears the fit will be uncomfortable. I've only been using it for a week so no issues with durability so far. I like that the end of the connector is flexible so I know the wires won't fray or break in the future. The cable is also quite flexible, I don't expect a crimp. The plastic casing on the cables and the ear pads themselves are pretty standard for such a price. I bought these because I wanted cheap disposable bike headphones. I can still hear what's happening outside when I'm wearing them. They are a bit quieter than my regular in-ear headphones. The bottom line is, if you want cheap headphones that perform decently, then fine. If you're used to better sound quality, they might bother you. I also want to compare them to the headphones that came with my Zune player. The Zune headphones are significantly better in terms of sound quality and fit. After two years of use they broke so I bought them as a replacement. For about the same price, less than $10, the Zune is better.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
