These are NOT the safety collars you want to use on your pets. You should look for emergency releases. If a cat gets stuck on something with them, it won't be able to get out. You can suffocate your cat. The safe ones open when sufficient force is applied to the collar. That way the cat won't choke if it gets stuck on something. Yes, the collar is easier to remove, but I'd rather put the collar on than hurt the cat. I've had cats all my life and I'm telling you, they get into the craziest of situations. Little did I know these weren't safe so my kids would play with them on stuffed animals. Sorry but I would recommend skipping them.
