This is the second set of these that I have purchased. The first set has lasted for 5 years. They look like total garbage, due to sun fading and kid-damage but they still work just fine. I use them to light up a landscaping tree in the front of the house. This new batch is used to light flags near the pool and they are working great so far. They come on right before it gets dark and (on the low light setting) they last through the night in the summer. In the winter they usually only make it part way through. I would estimate 8 hours on low setting if it was a clear sunny day. I have never tried them on the high setting.
