Good value for money - prefer wooden tires
This item works great. I like to use a larger frame than in my project so I have more room to work on the edges of my design (I don't like hitting the frame when trying to work). I use this 10" hoop for my 5x7" projects. In general I like plastic hoops more than wooden hoops because I think wooden hoops can warp sometimes. The only exception is if you want to "frame" your finished project with an embroidery hoop (instead of the traditional double mat hoop) - only in that case would I use a wooden hoop.
