Ideal for chopping soft foods. Most similar tools from other companies have straight sided ribs, but the rounded ribs really help when I use them in my pestle or bowl, they can scrape food, and they go well with the rounded contours. The downside is the handle is short, much shorter than my others, that gives you leverage, but compared to a stove, I prefer a longer handle for accessing pots. I especially like this one for mashed avocados or canned tomatoes and hard boiled eggs. Overall it's a good tool, rounded ribs are useless but I personally prefer the longer handled ones, I can do more tasks with one tool even with straight ribs and don't clutter my drawer with disposables, it's sort of a disposable tool.
