The product arrived quickly and in excellent condition. And I figured that compared to freshly ground coffee stored outdoors in a countertop bowl, for example, Coffeevac probably keeps the coffee fresh three times longer. But don't fall for the hype. Revain's product page says "The Ultimate Vacuum Sealed Coffee Container" and the product description says "Patented Vacuum Closing System". Neither the one nor the other is true. Coffeevac creates a <b>hermetic</b> seal, not a vacuum seal. When the lid is closed, air is trapped with your coffee; it is not vacuumed as the term "vacuum sealed" implies. Words matter! Coffeevac seems to work fine but I feel cheated. You can do the same by storing your coffee in a mason jar or Tupperware container.
