Review on πŸ’ 1.25 Carat CZ Sterling Silver Princess Cut Engagement & Wedding Ring Sizes 5-8 by Kim Maldonado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great replacement ring

I really like this ring. I've lost a lot of weight lately and continue to lose weight, so my real engagement and wedding rings are too big. I'm scared of losing it and don't want to resize it until I'm done with the loss so I decided to look for a cheap replacement ring. I originally bought a larger 2 carat CZ solitaire which looked real and was great but was too big for my small hands. The diamond in my actual ring, a family heirloom kept by my husband's family since the 1860's, is European cut, meaning it is cut deeper and wider than today's diamonds and doesn't look too flashy. (Besides, if I lose it, my mother-in-law gets my head. Literally.) I spent days looking for a sterling silver ring that didn't look ostentatious (which 95% of rings seem to be). I love princess cut stones and I love this one. After reading the reviews I decided to go for it. It actually exceeded my expectations and looks great. It's not too big and looks like a real diamond. I'm wearing it with my (fake) anniversary ring and I'm happy with the look. My only complaint is that I wish they offered smaller sizes and half sizes. My engagement ring is a size 5. This is also a size 5 but I have a ring sizer and it works great (although I'm afraid to wear that size on my real ring in case it slips and I lose it). ). My current ring size is 4 to 4 1/2 and it is almost impossible to find these sizes in fake rings. On the plus side, if I lose this one I can buy another one without breaking the bank (photos taken with and without flash).

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I hate it
