I didn't think this would work but it worked better than the phone holder I bought which was much larger. Also, the vents on my minivan are vertical, so I wasn't sure. So I just flipped it vertically and pressed it against the vent. Then I tightened the gear that connects the handle to it. I put the popsocket (on the back of my phone) on the mount and it didn't move! It only moves when the cog comes loose, which sometimes happens, or it can wobble if you hit a bump in the road. If it moves I just make sure the gear is tight. No problem! This makes driving easier when I need GPS to navigate. A very handy little machine. :)
