Review on Foredom K 5240 K 5240 Woodcarving by Karla Richter

A real pro tool

I've tried 2 Dremel tools over the last few years and finally learned something about rotary tools. As a hobby blacksmith and farrier, I use it for metalworking. as a tree. However, this kit came with the grip I wanted and was cheaper than buying individual parts. While it doesn't deliver the same high top speed as a Dremel, I've found that with the torque this motor can provide, you generally don't need the extra speed to get the job done. I don't want to withhold anything from a Dremel product. It's solid, especially for the price. I've used Dremel 4000 series tools before getting these and they cost a lot less and work pretty well overall. I found the Dremel to pull a little harder than the Foredom with manual assist or with the flex shaft attachment, at least for now. The Dremel Fortiflex may look more like an apple, but I've never used it. Some people have complained about Foredom's tip replacement process, and that's a valid complaint, but I'd argue that if that's your only problem, you can fix it by purchasing a different tip. Foredom offers a variety of chucks, collets, and quick-change tips that are likely to meet your needs. Personally, I don't change tools often enough for this to be a problem for me.
