The roll of film has no inner carton so it cannot hold its tubular shape. Upon unpacking, I noticed that the roll collapsed on its own, resulting in noticeable wrinkles around the edges of the (now flat) roll. Bad start but I wanted to see if it works. My next step was to find installation instructions, but I was surprised to see there weren't any on the roll. I had to spend a lot of time reading tutorials and running around to buy additional gear. Then I was finally ready for assembly and was able to cut the film to size and remove the backing film without any problems. I washed the window and then liberally sprayed the film and window with a solution (not included). Flatten it and press down, then use a squeegee (not included) to try to smooth it out. Unfortunately, try as I might, I couldn't get it completely flat, especially in the places where there were creases of the roller. I cut off the excess and came back the next day. Although it blocks the light during the day, it has so many blisters and blemishes that it ruins the view outside my window during the day and the place looks very tasteless at night. For example, you can still see the ridges where the rolled pleats were. I think UV blocking window film could have been great if done right, but this film was a huge waste of time and money. Shame on VViViD for cutting every possible corner no matter how it affects the client.
