These teapots are done right. The metal cup is quite strong and the holes are very small, nothing goes through. The cup is easy to fill with tea and then simply insert into the silicone part. It's the perfect size for a mug and both parts are easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. Remember that the top silicone cap has a small hole at the top to allow air to escape. Theoretically, very small particles could fly out through it, it's larger than the holes in the cup, but so far that hasn't happened.
