This is the second electric Proform WP I own so I like them. The impeller rotated backwards compared to the original I had. Researched impeller pumps on You-tube and found that the original pump rotated in the correct direction, counter-clockwise when looking at the front of the impeller. This rotated clockwise and didn't lift the water off the bottom link (actually pushed it down), greatly reducing performance. It would still work but with limited capacity I would have overheating issues. You can tell the rotation by connecting a 12V DC 10A supply and looking into the inlet on the bottom (before installing the hose connector of course). You change the twist by switching the blue and black wires around the fuse to the positive wire.
