Review on 🚨 Enhanced Visibility with Optronics Mini Thin Line LED Trailer Marker Light by Amy Cook

Lack of instructions caused installation headache

My son and I installed the parking lights along with the LED trailer light kit. After installing it, we couldn't get any of the chasers to work. We eventually found the problem and with a few modifications we were able to get the light working. The manufacturer could save us a lot of trouble with minor changes or more detailed instructions. My first complaint is the small screws that are backlit. I didn't trust them so I replaced them with stainless steel mounting screws. My second complaint has to do with network connectivity. The power connector is a plug that fits into a round socket on the back of the flashlight. The connector is so long that you cannot mount the bracket without bending the probe or drilling a large hole. We bent the fork 90 degrees and snapped the headlight into place. After installation, we checked the headlights. Nothing worked. We found that the fuse for the trailer lights had blown in the car's fuse box. We replaced the fuse, tried again and another fuse blew. The cause of the blown fuse is my third complaint. Even when the fork is bent 90 degrees, the fork still appears to be touching the trailer. We removed the headlights and wrapped several layers of tape around the current probe and the tag behind the probes, replaced the fuse and retested the headlights. They worked!. With modifications, the headlights work perfectly. The headlights are still new, so I cannot give a reliability rating at this time. I gave two stars because they are bright when lit. If the manufacturer had suggested drilling a hole just behind the lantern's socket, we probably wouldn't have had any problems. When buying lamps, be sure to drill a hole in the pendant next to the socket.
