Review on 🛠️ Ideal Precision Aluminum Setup Block Bar Gauge 15-Piece Set for Woodworking by iGaging by Antonio Santiago

It's very convenient to have a set of mounting blocks, but this set has some very annoying design flaws which shouldn't be overlooked at the price: 1) The blocks aren't labeled on all sides, so need to fold it back into the box in the correct orientation, otherwise it won't pull out the size you want quickly. 2) The case is of poor quality and doesn't have a snap-on lid - it pops open if dropped. What's even more annoying is that the top and bottom are identical - 50/50 chance you'll open the case upside down and drop the blocks. I marked the top with tape but still open it incorrectly when working quickly. 3) The fatal flaw in my opinion is that the blocks are not the same size on each side, they are all 1/2 inch. wide. This makes sense with smaller blocks as it makes it easy to tell which side is 1/16" and 1/2" wide. but the block is 7/16”. It's very frustrating having to examine a block to determine which side is 1/16 inch larger or smaller than the other, especially if you're using it to set up a table saw/notching/joining machine - there's already plenty of room to cut. On the wrong side of the blade or workpiece surface, adding another with the wrong side of an undermarked block is why I can't recommend them and (you probably guessed it) why I wrote this review. Good: -Sizes enough -Accuracy is enough for carpentry and carpentry work.
