We bought a Boxtech oxygen pump with suspension filter and waterfall for our aquarium. When our old filter pump died. We were looking for a filter that would do an excellent job of keeping the water clean without endangering small fish by being sucked in if they get too close (an issue we had with the previous brand's filter). We bought this one and have been happy so far but with a few caveats. 1: It arrived unassembled and had NO instructions on how to assemble it. 2: Because it's made for a variety of tank sizes, you'll have to try and make mistakes. until it suits you 3: There is a small disc/cap with a hole in the package, no space for it. 4: The filter cartridge is VERY small and thin. and therefore it must be changed weekly, which costs about $4 a week, so the weekly running costs go up, although cheap to begin with. The previous filter used a much thicker cartridge and only needed to be changed once a month, again costing around $4 each time. If these little issues were changed I would give 5 stars.
