This is the worst travel mug I have ever owned. It doesn't absorb odors that well, which is particularly annoying considering the mug's main benefit is the ceramic coating, which supposedly prevents just that. I have a Yeti, a Swell, a Tervis and a Corkcycle and none of them contain scents. My plastic cups smell better than this one. In fact, I have never owned a travel mug or any other mug that contains such smells. After using this mug for a month, also for coffee and smoothies, it smells like vomit and I can't even drink from it anymore. I've cleaned it with soap, hot water, vinegar and even left baking soda on it for a while and nothing has helped. An absolute waste of money. I wish I could return it. It also doesn't keep you warm that well, maybe because of the wide opening. On the plus side, it stays cold forever if you just want to drink cold water from it, and the leak-proof liner comes in handy for drinking ice-cold water. I really liked this mug when I first got it and only used it for ice water. But now it's awful and smells too bad to use. Don't buy this mug.
