I was hesitant to spend that much on a life jacket that would probably only fit our 16 month old grandson for one season. But it was the best buy. This life jacket was COMFORTABLE allowing her arms, legs and upper body to move freely so she was comfortable both in the boat and in the water. In the water she lay safely on her back, although I think it's still possible that if the baby falls face down, they won't be able to get up. So it doesn't eliminate the need for constant close monitoring, but the amazing comfort of this jacket was worth every penny. No crying baby on the boat! The position of the handle on the back of the headrest was also very practical. LOVE this vest!
