Review on πŸ”ͺ Lansky Leather Stropping Polishing Hone: Achieve Razor-Sharp Precision by Tom Tucker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fast passage, simple operation, the corner is already there.

Apart from that I have 11 homemade lines, all but three are reversible rough/smooth with different leathers, blends and blend densities. However, I keep three of them with my Lansky system. Why? Because when I use Lansky, the angle stays constant. I can do a quick mirror with one or two passes with each strap (with a range of 6, 3, 1). They're nowhere near the best as long as the smooth side or tool leather is glued to Lansky's sharpener handles, but sharpening is really about maintaining consistency (Lansky's way of wrestling in this arena, look for guides, measure your angles ), but when you do it can be quick and easy. You'll need less than half a dab of the diamond/CBN paste mix to load if that's your thing. From time to time, remove the used composition with an eraser and reapply the composition. Just step away from the blade and they last a good minute. you are gold Or just do it yourself. Replace the worn leather on them with leather scraps.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
