I installed them on the back of my 2017 Jeep Renegade to warn drivers behind me when danger is imminent to use as a construction pilot car , driving gear heavily (as I sometimes do) and fending off chronic buttocks in places where reversing is downright irresponsible. They are very bright but also very noticeable - it is very difficult to hide that they are on the back of my jeep. Use them as a surface mount solution where you can have an obvious flash. If you're hoping to hide them, you'll have to sink them far behind bars and possibly black out the lenses. I don't know how else to hide them, they can be seen really clearly on the back of the car and the surface mount device makes it very difficult to hide behind bars anyway as there is usually no surface for the flash to mount on can be. Headlights behind the grille (usually the radiator is back there and you don't want to put them on the radiator!).
