I have an old mobile home with incandescent lamps. These LED bulbs are much brighter and don't get hot like incandescent bulbs. I discovered when I dropped the old lighting system that the wires were melting from the heat! My main light is actually shorted in the hall. Luckily there were enough free wires so we could cut the faulty spot. We haven't had any more problems since installing the new LEDs. Since we have a full-time job, we often turn on the lights. We knew lightbulbs got hot, but over the years we didn't rely on how much damage they did. The only downside I really had was that the new system was a bit smaller than the previous one, so I had to fill in a few small holes from the screw holes. I can live with it. 11 year old motorhome, second permanent owner.
