Really nice sturdy set of coasters. As mentioned in some other reviews, yes some coasters do touch countertops. when in the holder. I was able to easily fix this by simply squeezing the backs of the holder together just a few millimeters closer than they were. Now there is a gap and the countertop will not be scratched. (I knew this could be a potential problem when I bought it and was willing to play around with the holder to get them properly seated.) The only complaint/con in my opinion is the slight discrepancy in the thickness of the coasters. I have one that is not only /much/ thinner than the others, but also has an uneven thickness. It's so thin I feel like it might break at some point. Luckily, I rarely need all of the coasters at once, so I just put them at the bottom of the stack and don't worry. loves slate so much, love the feel and aesthetic of these coasters. They are quite thick and appear to be very durable (aside from being wobbly). 4-4.5 stars.
