I find it funny that so many people complain about the amount of tool oil on these dipsticks. Come on, you buy a full set of probes from China for $13 (at the time of writing this article). An equivalent set of Snap-On brand dipsticks costs over $100 (although they are not oil coated). They are accurate enough and do the job they are designed for. I spent 45 minutes taking them apart and wiping excess oil off of each blade with paper towels before putting them back together. I do not mind. In my opinion I am selling my labor (oil cleaning) at a significantly reduced price. I'm a weekend warrior and personally enjoy spending time in my garage/shop working on things and yes, cleaning my tools. When I wiped off the excess oil, it looked almost like stock photos. The numbering appears to be lasered rather than screenprinted. The set is extensive and meets all my needs. If you're a professional "turner" and need a set of needles that you can use right away, or you just don't want the needle to be covered in tool oil that you have to clean up, then this set is definitely NOT for you (and again, if you are a pro, you should really use professional tools); Otherwise it is excellent value for money. I've included two photos, one shows the oil on the blades right after I took the set out of its vinyl bag and the other shows two sets of sensors in their vinyl bags right after I opened the Revain box. While the oil is generous, I wouldn't go so far as to say they drip from it.
