I contacted the product developer directly and over several long phone calls expressed my concerns about the BETTERVENT INDOOR DRYER VENT system. To date I have not received an acceptable response. The first problem is that there is too much CONDENSATION on the walls, ceiling and everything in the rooms. My laundry room is in a separate room from the garage. To reduce condensation, I open the laundry room window in the summer and turn on the large fan in the winter. Then I open the door to the main entrance to the garage and finally the door to the large room at the back of the garage. If the doors didn't open the humidity would be so thick. However, condensation is everywhere. The second problem is the removal of the heap. I clean the dryer lint net AND the BetterVent lint net after each drying cycle and now notice very little lint build up on the nets. Where does the rest of the bunch go? I know it's in my clothes, towels and sheets. exactly where I don't want it to be. This brings us to the third edition of FIRE. Where does the fluff go? If the BetterVent system interferes with lint removal, a fire hazard is created. My only guess is that there was a build up of lint in the vent pipe that connects the dryer to the BetterVent. As mentioned in the beginning, I have contacted the product developer several times and each time I have been told that the problem is with my dryer. That is not true. Before the ventilation system was installed, the dryer did an excellent job of removing lint and pet hair. I was hoping the internal ventilation system would work. What an expensive mistake. Maybe more research will be done and the product designer will come up with a better solution.
