I am ambivalent about the rating of this product. When I first got the Fineed Bluetooth OBD2 adapter, I immediately went to test it on an '07 Chevy Equinox. It worked perfectly and my father asked me to order two more for his and my mother's cars. The next day I tried using the adapter again and for some reason it just couldn't connect to the apps I was supposed to be using on my Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. After a lot of googling, I found out that these "blue" OBD2 adapters are mainly Chinese fakes, which are known to have many problems and pairing problems. I was ready to return the product but found a workaround: even though the apps I was using said it wasn't connected to the adapter, it was still able to read and clear engine codes through the app. Personally I only bought this product so I can see and clear the codes displayed on my car so it works functionally for me but not without issues. If you don't want to deal with these potential glitches, you're better off looking on Amazon for OBD2 adapters, which are a bit longer and usually painted black or dark gray. They're known to work a little better.
