This works fine - measure the voltage on your power cord.
The cable that came with my Osmo was defective. I found this out when I measured the voltage at the end of the connector and it was only 3.2 volts instead of 6 volts. Measure from the tip to the base of the connector (tip = 1, then 2nd pin, 3rd pin, then base). This now charges the device.
