Review on Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack by Brian Kumar

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Dropping bikes from the back of the car twice during the first month while driving!

Second update: Bike rack broken for the second time. The first time it was rubber bands that broke within a few weeks of purchase. A few weeks later, the upper arm hook that hooks onto the bike's frame to hold the bike in place failed and the bike fell off the back of the car (sort of). This time the straps held tight so the bike was pulled from the back of the car until I could stop safely. Latest update, replacement bands are hard to find. There are spare parts that you can buy that are similar but not the same, which is interesting as it's not a scenario where the model is obsolete and no longer manufactured. Do not rely on the procurement of spare parts. First review: The two rubber bands that hold the bike tires in the bike rack broke after about three weeks, causing the bike to fall off while riding and damaging it. As a rule of thumb, get a bike and ride about 2 miles each day on city streets (no freeways, etc.) for ease of use. out). Other reviews have mentioned that it takes some grip strength to lift the top that secures the bike in place. In general, this is not a problem, but something to consider. We will contact the seller and update the feedback based on the interaction.
