Not for us - my new review

Lesson learned: if you have little sun on the pool to begin with, this solar cover doesn't receive the rays necessary to make any difference. It didn't do much for the temperature (2 degrees, maximum)Without a reel to put on and take off, this is too much for 2 elderly people to put on, take off, and fold up, especially if you're trying to keep it clean while folding.It didn't sink during rain, so that was surprising. I doubt we'll use it again.

This cover has worked great! We didn''t cut it to fit because it can still sit on the top of the water with a little hanging over the sides. It''s brought our pool up about 10-15 degrees since we set it up less than a month ago, and we are in Michigan! Seems durable as well!
