Really love this butter dish! It's nostalgic, useful and very attractive.After breaking two ceramic Le Creuset butter dishes (to the tune of almost $50 each), we decided that a ceramic butter dish wasn’t exactly the right solution for us.We have granite countertops and ceramic, when dropped onto it from any height, means bad news for the ceramic.This enamel butter dish is wonderful. We have some vintage enamel pots and pans, from my husband’s mother and my grandmother, and this butter dish is a constant reminder of those warm feelings of our family time together. The wooden top helps to keep the butter soft, even when sitting out on our granite counter, near a window in the middle of winter.Item was delivered quickly - even in the midst of heavy snow and an arctic level freeze!
