Review on Edelmann 80617 Steering Pressure Assembly by Dave Neal

Important! Read before you buy!

later I hope someone reads this before buying this hose. DO NOT USE THE GASKET SUPPLIED WITH THIS HOSE! Do not even try it! They leak instantly under high pressure, spilling your entire supply of power steering fluid on the floor, under the hood and everywhere within 2 seconds of starting your car! The two black duck nose seals that come with this hose are too small. They should be VERY tight on the hose and tight on the rack fittings, but they aren't. They also look like cheap plastic and should feel like hard rubber. After two attempts to caulk them I just went to an auto parts store and bought new hose seals and it worked. The fact is the fittings cost about the same as the hose so I wouldn't buy that brand at all. Buy something else that comes with seals that work. You need 2 gaskets and at the auto parts store they are $16 for 2. Hardly worth the hose that should come with them and should work! Save yourself the headache. I even called the manufacturer of these hoses and they admitted the seals on these hoses are bad and they are trying to find a new company to fix them. Be sure to avoid these
