I took the device out of the box, connected the battery and pointed the laser at my block of wood. The temperature was 90 degrees Fahrenheit? The house was 68 degrees Fahrenheit and the bar felt chilly. I continued checking other objects with a similar result. Then I went into the kitchen where I had a pot of simmering pasta sauce, it was 210 degrees Fahrenheit. So I'm not sure if this works or not? This product is garbage. It's 65 degrees Fahrenheit, I'm my home; a leather armchair has 92, a wall has 96, a loudspeaker that has been switched off has 95, a metal chair leg has 95. Enough said. I'm returning for a refund.
