When I first turned on the light, it was at full brightness, which made my eyes sting. I couldn't see almost anything for a week because of the flash of light, which I think makes it dangerous. It is durable and not a cheap material. Easy to use. Multiple settings from low to very bright. It's just not for me. After my eyes hurt. Be careful if you use it for a child's room.
