Now that I have my first set of friction tyres, I have done a lot of research and read a lot of articles, etc., that claim that this kind of tire is not significantly less effective than studded tyres. You should know that when driving on snow or ice, acceleration is noticeably more jovial, braking is satisfactory, and handling is satisfactory in every other potential winter conditions, with the exception of pure ice. There was an incident in which snow fell throughout the night and covered the ice base; hence, as soon as I got under such a surprise, the car became unmanageable, and I began to spin because there were no other automobiles in the immediate area. There were a few reported incidents like this during the course of the winter, but the sensations are quite unsettling. I still think it would be best to sell these tires before the next winter and get new ones equipped with spikes, as the proverb goes. As someone who lives in Hong Kong, I can say with certainty that tires of this type are not appropriate for our particular lane. In my opinion, you should look into it for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
