This changed the rules of my weld setup and allowed me to create much lighter parts. I mainly make long industrial tables for my business and do small side projects for friends/family. Everyone is right, the way this coil is fed is annoying. I just remove the plastic cover that sits over the gears. If you squeeze it while pulling, it will release instantly. and it helped me navigate the wire more easily. Once you feed him, the gun works like a dream. The welds looked crappy at first, but then I had an aha moment and realized I had switched from using .035 flux to this one and forgot to toggle the current in the welder next to the wire feeder. I have 100% O2 for the shield and it seems to be working fine. I ended up buying a bigger bottle because I have a feeling I'll be using a lot. Aluminum is much easier to machine than steel. I have about 1000 projects
