Review on Dorman 740-664: Premium Front Driver Side Window Regulator for Ford/Mercury Models, Black - Top-Quality Replacement Part by Will Jenkins

This is a reasonable replacement for the '96 Grand Marquis. It fits well. The instructions were sufficient. The hardware was adequate, but I didn't have a rivet gun big enough for the rivets that came with it, so I bought bolts with nylock nuts instead. I have seen in other reviews that this unit looks better than OEM. I do not share this opinion. To me it looks exactly like the OEM, with the same inherent weaknesses. The materials could be better because on another car, a '95 Grand Marquis, I had to replace the windows several times. NAPA broke fastest, in just a few weeks. Dorman lasted the longest. This is probably the best integrated controller available for this application.
