Difficult to install, but overall a great purchase!

We were looking for a collar that doesn't get dirty or smelly when our dogs play at the lake. We used cloth collars all the time, which always had to be washed and didn't look the same afterwards. As soon as we saw them we knew this was going to be a great purchase. We bought a green fern for our black lab and a redcurrant for our yellow lab and they look great on them! The color is exactly the same as in the picture and very light on her coat. The spot to attach the dog tags works great as it doesn't get in the way of where you attach the leash and the piece of metal you attach the dog tag to to attach the collar provides a secure look and feel Structure. You can't tag to get rid of the collar. We bought the 20-23" size option as both of our dogs had about 22-23" necks and with all the feedback on not buying the large ones we didn't want to go bigger which was a good choice. If we had bought a size larger, the collar would have been too big. We could have bought our lab girl a size down, but we ended up just taking a pocket knife and making an extra hole in her collar. It's definitely very strong, holds up well and appears to be durable. The structure of them is quite stiff and it was difficult to give them a round collar, but after a weekend with our dogs it took shape around their necks and is now holding up to get the buckle clasp into the collar hole, need to first thread the collar through the buckle and then maneuver the buckle clasp into the hole, preferably the hole we think the buckle clasp could be a bit longer as it seems that our dog collars sometimes come with a lot of movement seemed like the clasp was loose, but in general we had no trouble opening the collar. Overall we recommend this collar to anyone with active water dogs!
