Review on Shark Wi Fi Robot Vacuum RV761 by Lisa Farley

Great robot vacuum that won't break the bank: full review

I'm very happy with this Shark Ion Robot R76. I've wanted a robot vacuum for a long time and looked at the Roomba brand. They range from $300 for the base model to $950 for the top model, but they have pretty bad reviews for the cheaper models. I love my Shark handheld vacuum, which has worked flawlessly for many years, so I decided to try their robotic vacuum. After reading consumer reviews, almost all Shark models received high marks, even the cheapest models. I'm so glad I chose Shark over Roomba. It works very well and has updated features from the Shark 750 range.WIFI VOICE AND APP CONTROL: It connects to your Wi-Fi and can be controlled by voice via Alexa or Google Assistant. Now you don't even have to move to get a clean house, just talk. For those who don't have Alexa (like me) there is an app and you can control it from your smartphone! The app is very user-friendly and still works great. You don't need an app or Alexa to have it, you can turn it on the old-fashioned way by pressing buttons. The buttons are simple, one for cleaning, one for spot cleaning and one for sending back to the dock. AUTO-SENSE NAVIGATION: Auto-sense navigation that works on all types of surfaces, hardwoods, carpets and rugs. , linoleum, etc. I was very impressed with how easily the Shark glided from the hardwood floor to the rugs and thick rubber carpets in the kitchen. My normal stand can't even do that. He always gets stuck on these carpets. But the robot "Shark" glided over it without any problems. GOOD FOR PETS: It has a multi-surface brush that picks up dander and hair on hardwood or carpet. I like this feature because although I don't have a pet, I've found that vacuums designed for pet hair are better at removing dust and allergens. I also lose a ridiculous amount of human hair (husband says he doesn't know how I don't go bald with the amount always on the floor lol). The brush roll on this robotic vacuum is smaller than that of the upright vacuum, so I have to check regularly to make sure my hair isn't getting tangled. But it absorbs it great and I haven't had any problems so far. END AND CORNER BRUSHES: These long brushes stick out on both sides of the robot and sweep dirt in its path. They collect crumbs and dirt right at the edge of the wall. They do an excellent job on walls and under my baseboard heaters (again that's a different area, even my vertical imperfections) and 4 extra spare brushes are included. It also comes with an extra filter and a strip you can cut to block specific rooms or areas you don't want the shark to go to. GOOD: Love the app and the wifi, you can schedule cleaning times and control them right from your phone. The car is relatively quiet. It transitions easily from hardwood to carpet or high ceiling area rugs and rugs. I was really impressed with it. The machine holds a charge for a long time and moves quite quickly during cleaning. It maneuvers under furniture and beds in places I can't reach with the post. The docking station is very small and unobtrusive. The robot vacuum has good suction power and is great at picking up dirt, crumbs, hair, etc. on my hardwood floors without leaving anything behind. BAD: The docking sensor is not as effective over longer distances. When the robot is near the pier, it will easily slide and find it. However, when I try to dock it while it's in the room further down the hall, it starts to get a little crazy trying to find it. It takes a while to come back, so don't expect it to rush back to the dock and charge. Finally the machine works. This robot works perfectly when all of your furniture is aligned at 90 degrees to each other. The car then just moves back and forth in perfect lines. However, this is unrealistic in most households, so it takes longer for the robot to go through all areas. It doesn't "remember" where it went, it just moves back and forth, and if it senses something and hits it, it changes direction. This is how almost all vacuum robots work. Some of the very expensive robot vacuums have a more sophisticated targeting system that actually maps the room, but they cost close to $1,000. But this robot eventually reaches all areas, it just takes longer than a possibly more expensive model. This has greatly reduced my cleaning time and works very well. Is it a full replacement for the vertical vacuum. no You will most likely still need to vacuum in an upright position from time to time. But it does an amazing job of keeping floors clean on a regular basis and greatly reduces the need for an upright vacuum. Due to its low design, it fits under beds, chests of drawers and furniture that I can't even reach with the post. It's unbelievable how much dust and dirt accumulates under the furniture. I have a severe dust allergy and this will help me a lot. So far it's been a great purchase. I will update my review if I run into any problems in the future. Overall, this is a great robot vacuum for the price and for those who, like me, want to try their first robot vacuum. He does what he has to do and keeps my floors clean on a regular basis.
