I really wanted to love him

Let me start by saying that I really really wanted to love this robot. I had to persuade my husband to let me have it and after weeks of persuasion he finally agreed. I was very excited! I set everything up and sent it to clean the house and followed all the instructions. First, he doesn't suck in a logical way, he just walks around. Secondly, it gets caught in the corners of carpets and sockets. I ran it a few times to give it a chance to "learn" the house, but it got lost even when I only…

Return after first use

This robot vacuum was a total disappointment. It randomly crashed into the walls and furniture in the living room and kitchen, but never penetrated the hallway, bedrooms, and bathrooms. It also couldn't return to the dock, which is in my office next to the WIFI source. Suction was good and picked up dog hair, but not on the edges of walls where tumbleweed tends to pick up dog hair. I run it in Edge mode first and it goes all over the house feeling along walls and furniture. This will catch most

One of Revain's top five products

My wife and I love this little robot vacuum cleaner. We keep the house in order, but there isn't always time to turn on the vacuum cleaner. While it doesn't vacuum everything up, it tends to fight at the edges of the room, but the vacuum cleaner robot has been helping us keep our house clean for weeks. A limitation. Don't expect this vacuum to start cleaning as soon as you open the box. I'm sure it's possible, but the instructions say you need to fully charge the battery beforehand. It took us…

What happens when you skimp on features?

Compared to my previous Shark 700, this model does not have optical obstacle avoidance as it has to bump into objects before it can reverse. The 700 series often didn't have to touch an obstacle, especially a lighter color, before stopping and changing direction. that Shark intentionally removed the optical system in favor of a simpler, cheaper, all-hit-and-go system. This makes the car much noisier and more prone to pushing and knocking over things in its path rather than dodging them. The…

Great robot vacuum that won't break the bank: full review

I'm very happy with this Shark Ion Robot R76. I've wanted a robot vacuum for a long time and looked at the Roomba brand. They range from $300 for the base model to $950 for the top model, but they have pretty bad reviews for the cheaper models. I love my Shark handheld vacuum, which has worked flawlessly for many years, so I decided to try their robotic vacuum. After reading consumer reviews, almost all Shark models received high marks, even the cheapest models. I'm so glad I chose Shark over…

Short lived robot, inconsistent quality

4th update: If I could give this zero stars I would. That's the most annoying thing. 2, much cheaper, iLife and the unnamed Apsom survived. 9/10 when I turn this on it has a complaint and I have so many complaints that I have to look up what each indicator means (my aposom actually tells me) and then fix it. For the time I spend troubleshooting, I could probably vacuum myself. It's 3 short beeps today which is different from other beeps and I've never heard anything so I don't even know how to…
