Review on Grand Macho RT Fan TY 147B by Wiktor Jakuta ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

But seriously, excellent CO but not flawless. So on AM3+: the product itself gives the impression of solidity and reliability, the heel is polished in a mirror, the frame on the motherboard is excellent and quite easy to mount, and voila: some asymmetry in the fastening of the "clamp" attracting the surface to the processor relative to the longitudinal axis of the CO - it would be okay only feng shui suffered, but one of the bolts is being tightened through a hole that goes through all the plates. Perhaps a 180 turn (what would be the design over the memory) or other sockets remove this issue. In short, a goat. The second is the complete thermal paste: the consistency hints that it was applied in vain, although the box says something like that it is hi-end. Anyway; everything stood up, so big, beautiful. And here is the final test: stick 4 rubber pads on the cooler and put the cooler on the springs. I haven't endured so much suffering in a long time. I did this longer than the rest of the installation. The 21st century, ellypaly, well, they would have made some kind of plastic inserts or a frame with holes for some kind of dowels to screw the carson there. It is very sad, and in fact I have never bought such designs before seeing the photo, but this time there were no alternatives. The result - well, at least it was worth it. Yes! Quiet! But for 5.5 it would be possible to: 1) put even more decent paste, 2) make the hole for tightening the clamp a little larger or eliminate the asymmetry, 3) do not use this stupid cooler mount.

Pros
  • Now I have a cool screwdriver.
Cons
  • You can't screw a stupid cooler to this CO with a screwdriver.
